Reception
At release
- The Pittsburgh Press (Jerry Sharpe, 28 August 1976) headline judged Campbell's voice a success but the songs on Bloodline not
- The article ran on page H-8 of the paper
- The source cites it as a 1976 review retrieved on 22 January 2010
Reappraisal
- AllMusic has a Bloodline entry by Stephen Thomas Erlewine, retrieved 26 December 2009
- AllMusic also has a combined entry titled Rhinestone Cowboy/Bloodline, retrieved 11 August 2009
- No Depression ran a reissue review by David Cantwell in its Sept–Oct 2002 issue No. 41
- That review covers the reissue Rhinestone Cowboy / Bloodline: The Lambert & Potter Sessions, 1975–1976, released on Raven
- So the 2002 review concerns a combined reissue rather than the original 1976 release
