Reception
At release
- Ultimate Classic Rock's Gary Graff wrote that the album hews to the middle of the road, with plenty of pop melodies and Chicago's trademark brass arrangements
- Graff said the 14-track set marks the real arrival of singer and guitarist Neil Donell
- Graff concluded that the album has cringe-y moments, but still has enough hallmarks to engage any longtime fan for a moment, if not longer
- The single 'If This Is Goodbye' came out in May 2022, about two months before the album
- The album was released on July 15, 2022 through Chicago Records, II, Inc.
- Neil Donell takes lead vocals on nine of the album's tracks
- The album came out after three members who played on it had left the band, so the release-time lineup differed from the recording lineup
