Reception
At release
- HotNewHipHop's Zachary Horvath wrote that the album shows Cudi going back to his experimental roots
- Horvath noted it is still full of bangers but far less heavy on trap and psychedelic sounds, citing "ElectroWaveBaby 2.0" as an example
- Ratings Game Music felt the record mostly consisted of tracks that did not make the cut for Insano
- That reviewer did not feel compelled to analyze the album extensively, but still said it emphasizes Cudi's unwavering authenticity across his career
- Medium's Mark Chinapen called it a step up from Insano, but still with lackluster songwriting and a bloated tracklist full of filler
- Chinapen rated the production as much better than Insano, with highlights "All My Life", "Win or Lose", "Everybody Like", and "Moon Man Shit"
- Chinapen judged the songwriting lazy, the lyrics left much to be desired, and the album padded with filler that could have been left out
